This screen will allow you to add/edit products and maintain their inventory. The list you see upon navigating to the Products screen is your local product list. These are the items that you have made available for selection on cases. You are able to add products from the Halcyon Master Product Library, as well as manually entered products.
Manage Suppliers
The manage suppliers button will navigate you to the Supplier Maintenance page, where you can set suppliers to Active or Inactive, you can also add your own suppliers. Some suppliers are designated with a star icon, this means that they have products in the Halcyon Master Product Library.
Adding New Products
Click the Add Products button to add products, this will load the Add Products pop up.
The table contains our master library of products from a variety of suppliers. You can search by supplier, category, or subcategory in the drop-downs, or you can type the name or model number into the search bar. To add a product, simply type in your cost and price for that product, and click the Add button. That product will then disappear from the Product Library table and appear in your products.
Only products from suppliers you have set to active will appear. If you were expecting to see products from a certain supplier and they're not appearing, check in the Supplier Maintenance page and make sure that supplier is active.
If you need to add a product that we don't have in our library, simply click the Add Other Product button on the top right and the Add Other Product pop up will appear.
Use the form in this modal to input any product you'd like. For information about the categories and subcategories you have to select from here, check out the Manage Product Subcategories help documentation.
You'll notice three options below the pricing information. If you want the system to keep track of your inventory for you, just mark the switch for "Inventoried?". If you mark the switch for "Use Serial Numbers?" you will be required to enter a serial number for each individual product when you go to inventory it. (Note that the system will automatically deprecate inventory as you assign it. You will have to enter new inventory as it's received on the Product Maintenance page, covered below.) If you mark the switch that says "Show on MPL?" this will include the product on your Merchandise Price List, which you can generate as a form.
Images
Products from our product library automatically save with images, but you can also add images to products that you inputted manually. Simply click the upload image button next to the product's name in the main product table.
Adding Multiple Products
If you wish to add multiple products, select "Add Multiple Products." This will take you to a different screen. Here, you will select a Supplier, Product Category, and Subcategory. You will also select the data fields that you wish to enter. When finished, select "Create Product Entry Table" and you will see a table like this:
