Service Type Reporting and Analytics

The purpose of Service Types is to distinguish cases for financial reporting. Each business determines what their Service Types will be and therefore how they are going to report those activities. The order in which the Service Types are shown (reported) can also be setup.

This article outlines reporting that is available by Service Type.

Report Name	Type	Description
Sales Rollup by Service Type	Report	This is a summary report. For all Service Types that are setup the report shows, for the reporting date range, the Total Charge, Services, Caskets, Vault, Additional Merchandise, Other Service Items, Cash Advances and Sales Taxes. Contract addons are reported separately as if they were a different Service Type. Shows values for all cases' service types even if that Service Type is no longer setup. Each of the company's different locations are reported separately.
Service Averages	Report	This is a summary report. For all Service Types that are setup the report shows, for the reporting date range, counts of services, service totals, service averages, casket count and average, vault count and average and urn count and average. Contact addons are reported separately as if they were a different Service Type. If there are any cases with Service Types that are not setup (or no Service Type) they are reported as "INVALID SERVICE TYPES". Each of the company's different locations are reported separately.
Sales with Service Type	Report	This is a detailed report. For all cases with Date Services Provided within the reporting period returns many cases' details such as Service Type, Case Information, Total Charge, Total Services Amount, Casket and Vault purchases and Additional Merchandise purchases.  It also includes discounts, cash advances and sales taxes. Like all reports you can filter the report in the Search box on any text such as Service Type. Contract Addons are included.  If there are any cases with Service Types that are not setup (or no Service Type) they are reported as "NO SERVICE TYPE". Each of the company's different locations are reported separately.
Sales by Service Type	Report	This is a detailed report. The results are identical to Sales with Service Type except this report breaks on each Service Type. This better facilities outputting to Excel or PDF for one particular Service Type Each of the company's different locations are reported separately.
Product Averages by Service Type	Report	This is a summary report.  For each product category that is setup the report shows, for the reporting date range, sales results by Service Type. It includes quantity sold, retail average and wholesale average.  Contract Addons are excluded. If there are any cases with Service Types that are not setup (or no Service Type) they are reported as "INVALID SERVICE TYPES". Each of the company's different locations are reported separately.
Service Type Counts	Analytics	This is a summary analytical report. It reports counts of services (cases) by Service Type (within reporting period). Like all analytics you can report each of the company's different locations separably or together.
Casket Actuals	Analytics	This is a summary analytical report. It reports value of caskets sold by Service Type (within reporting period). Shows values for all cases' service types even if that Service Type is no longer setup. Like all analytics you can report each of the company's different locations separably or together.
Casket Averages	Analytics	This is a summary analytical report. It reports average value of caskets sold by Service Type (within reporting period). Shows values for all cases' service types even if that Service Type is no longer setup. Like all analytics you can report each of the company's different locations separably or together.
Service Actuals	Analytics	This is a summary analytical report. It reports value of services sold by Service Type (within reporting period). Shows values for all cases' service types even if that Service Type is no longer setup. Like all analytics you can report each of the company's different locations separably or together.
Service Averages	Analytics	This is a summary analytical report. It reports average value of services sold by Service Type (within reporting period). Shows values for all cases' service types even if that Service Type is no longer setup.
