Google Chrome Autofill Setup
NOTE: The following instructions are a generic way to find required screens but is subject to change as Chrome frequently releases updates and changes to the browser.
Turn off autosuggest of names, addresses and contact information
- Navigate to the Settings page in Chrome from the Customize Google menu (at the time of this guide, click the icon).
- Scroll down to the bottom and click Settings.
- On the left navigation, click AutoFill
- Click to expand the Addresses and More
- For the save and fill addresses option, turn the slider to the left
Microsoft Edge Autofill Setup
NOTE: The following instructions are a generic way to find required screens but is subject to change as Microsoft frequently releases updates and changes to the browser.
Turn off autosuggest of names, addresses and contact information
- Navigate to the Settings page in Edge from the Ellipse menu (at the time of this guide, click the icon).
- Click Personal Info
- Turn off (slide left) the Save and fill basic info.
Firefox Autofill Setup
NOTE: The following instructions are a generic way to find required screens but is subject to change as Firefox frequently releases updates and changes to the browser.
Turn off autosuggest of names, addresses and contact information
- Navigate to the Settings page in Firefox from the menu (at the time of this guide, click the three horizontal lines icon).
- Click Privacy and Security
- In the Forms & Passwords section, remove the check mark next to Autofill addresses.
- In the Forms & Passwords section, remove the check mark next to Remember search and form history.
Safari Autofill Setup
NOTE: The following instructions are a generic way to find required screens but is subject to change as Safari frequently releases updates and changes to the browser.
Turn off autosuggest of names, addresses and contact information
- Navigate to the Preferences page in Safari (Safari >Preferences).
- Click AutoFill
- Uncheck all the boxes (except user names and passwords if you use Safari to maintain your login information)
Setup for viewing forms from Halcyon in Adobe Acrobat
PDF forms generated in Halcyon are fully compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Some forms that utilize calculations or other formatting may not render properly in the PDF viewers that come included with web browsers such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Note: Be sure to uncheck the boxes on this page for the additional downloads that Adobe offers.
Set Adobe Acrobat Reader as Default PDF Viewer
- In the Start Menu, open Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Go to the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
- If not already selected, choose General from the Categories sidebar. At the bottom of the screen (you may need to scroll down) choose Select as Default PDF Handler.
- Click Continue on the prompt.
- In the window that pops up, click the Change button.
- In the prompt that opens, choose Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and click OK.
Set Up Google Chrome
- In the upper right corner, choose the ellipse (three dots) menu and go to Settings.
- In the Settings Search, enter PDF and then choose Site Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and choose Additional Content Settings.

Choose PDF documents
- Toggle the switch on for downloading PDF documents instead of opening them in Chrome.
- Go to Halcyon and generate a PDF form. It will display in the lower left corner downloads area. Click the arrow on the right side of the download and choose Always Open in Adobe Reader. The next time you generate a PDF form it will automatically download and open in Adobe Reader.
Set Up Microsoft Edge
- Click the ellipse (three dots) menu at the top right and choose Settings.
- Search for PDF and click PDF Documents.
- Toggle the switch to Always Open PDF Files Externally.
- Go to Halcyon and generate a PDF form. It will display in the lower left corner downloads area. Click the ellipse (three dots) on the right side of the download and choose Always open with system viewer. The next time you generate a PDF form it will automatically download and open in Adobe Reader.
Set Up Firefox
- Navigate to the Settings page in Firefox from the menu (at the time of this guide, click the three horizontal lines icon).
- In the General panel, go to the Applications section.
- Select the Content Type entry for Portable Document Format (PDF).

The Action column will give you a drop-down menu, select Save File.
